LR15コマ目：発音レッスン復習10 th

今日はS先生。期待を裏切らない気分の良い授業だった。
前回歯医者に行くって言ったのを覚えててくれた。生徒のメモとか残してるのかな？それにしても授業と授業の合間の５分でそれを探してきて、確認しておくってすごいわ。

週末何してた？って聞かれて "I like sewing, so I bought some cloth... material? textile?" って言ってたら　"I did some sewing last weekend." ってまとめられて、何作ったの～とか言われてしまい、まだこれからだけど、娘の服を～とか言ってたら "I am planning to make a dress for my daughter." ということに。こういうのは "a labor of love" というんだそうな。英辞郎では「（報酬目当てでなく）好き［好意］でする仕事、奉仕活動」・・・趣味っていうんじゃないのか？ちょっと違うのか。

今日も例文いっぱい作った。

I always care for my family's health.
I should go to the dentist this coming Thursday.

My guards have their territory.　← My dog guards his territory.
We don't give in to the terrorists.
My daughter likes to tear paper.

territory の文は、何度も聞き返されて、入力しようかと思ったら「あ、guard ね！」って言われてこうなった。自分の言った文を推すべきだったのか？

それにしても th の発音は何度やってもスムーズにいかない。the, they, thank, there みたいな良く言う単語はまだましなことを考えれば、やっぱり練習あるのみなんだろうなぁ。
